Academic Program
-
The purpose of our program is to provide students with a learning environment that allows them to understand and overcome obstacles to learning and socialization that they were experiencing in their previous educational setting to a level that allows them to either successfully reintegrate back into a less restrictive educational environment or to successfully graduate from high school with positive post-secondary goals in place. The following is a list of highlights and information on our academic program:
-
Rigorous and Relevant Curriculum
Hopewell Academies curriculum aligns with the students serving districts graduation requirements.
-
Individualized Educational Learning Experience
While we have a general education curriculum that we follow, we understand students have specific needs and our staff makes accommodations for each student.
-
Positive Classroom Environment
Hopewell Academies incorporates positive character building (PBIS) within the classroom, community as well as within the students themselves.
-
Highly Qualified, Experienced Teachers
Our teachers all have the Learning Behavior Specialist 1 Endorsement, are trained in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) through Crisis Prevention Institute, are members of Global Compliance Network, and participate in weekly staff trainings and in-services throughout the year.
-
Academic Assessments

-
Staff Ratio 5:1
The maximum capacity of each classroom is 10 students. Each classroom is staffed with a Certified Special Education Teacher and a paraprofessional and are supported by job coaches and therapists.
